Griefing Red Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAB CDEEF GGEHIJD DD

Forlorn in the dungeon of melancholyA
Clamoring at the generation's follyA
Her voice too faint to make a stinkB
-
Why would the world misconstrueC
The love she advocates for amoralityD
She weeps to see this generationE
Engulfed by moral degenerationE
All because of herF
-
Her integrity at stakeG
For the generation's mistakeG
maidens rupturing the hymenE
In quest to satisfy their menH
Young men gifting maidensI
Their lifetime savingsJ
As bait to lure them to bedD
-
She stands for love not amoralityD
Thus Flee from immoralityD

Konam Binditim Samuel

Poet's note: You find people misconstruing Val's day for 'sex day'. The persona through this verse satirizes such people who have decided to engage in immorality in the name of Val's day celebration. The persona reiterates that Val's day is a day for holiness and not sinfulness.
