| No dust will be there so I need no broom | A |

| While putting me down so deep | B |
| As I lie there having eternal sleep | B |

| I know that day will arrive | C |
| On that day please don't grieve | D |
| Since death is a traveller in murk | E |
| My eyes will only be seeing the dark | F |

| I can't plead with death to delay | G |
| But I wish I knew my expiry day | G |
| I would hold you till I pass out | H |
| Since you hold sway over my heart | I |
