Talbingo Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNF

'TALBINGO RIVER' as one says of bonesA
'Captain' or 'Commodore' that smelt gunpowderB
In old engagements no one quite believesC
Or understands Talbingo had its bloodD
As they did ran with waters huge and clearE
Lopping down mountainsF
Turning crags to banksG
Now it's a sort of aching valleyH
Basalt shaggy with scalesI
A funnel of tobacco coloured clayJ
Smoulders of puffed earthK
And pebbles and shell bodied fliesL
And water thickening to stone in pocksM
That's what we're like out hereN
Beds of dried up passionsF
