Snowdrops Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDC EFGFHIJI

The Snowdrop Girl in fields of snowdrops walksA
Whiter than foam deeper than waters flowingB
Flakes of wild milk gone blowingB
Snowing on cloudy stalksA
The Snowdrop Girl goes picking flowers of snowC
Blossoms of darkness bubbling into dreamsD
In a strange country by the shadowy streamsD
Where the cruel petals of the Coke tree growC
-
From the smoke and the fume of the backyard roomE
Where poverty sits and gloatsF
On runaway feet from a dirty streetG
To a field of snow she floatsF
And tickets to Hell have a curious smellH
And a dangerous crystal whiffI
Where men hawk Death in a snowdrops s breathJ
At a couple of shillings a sniffI
