When I Get Old Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDDE FGHE IJKLE MNEOE PQRSET

Just when the day wanes longerA
Legs and body not getting any strongerA
Memory short and not clearB
Times of ending days are nearB
-
Hair turns from gray to whiteC
And it seems like you're not feeling rightC
When you're hearing turns quietD
And you're not as fit but put on a strict dietD
That's when I get oldE
-
When there's less and less of family and friendsF
And it seems to wonder when will it endG
When the beginning seems far far away after dayH
That's when I'm getting oldE
-
Time is swiftly moving a longI
Super speed in minutes and timeJ
The winter years are quietly hereK
Those days you can't get back or even findL
That's when I'm getting oldE
-
When family multiplies even moreM
One by one and generation after generationN
They are your family strong and boldE
Building up of what we have leftO
This is the duty of family when I get oldE
-
Looking back through the yearsP
In the mirror of life it's selfQ
Going back in time in spaceR
Where knowledge is like wealthS
As I 'm getting oldE
