In memory of Martha K Newton and Amanda P NewtonA
-
-
and then I looked aroundB
-
I stepped back and breathC
Taking each breath like there's no moreD
The rush of memories flood my mindE
The tears started to flowF
And my heart heavy with griefG
-
I wanted to ask why Lord whyH
But it only comes back in whispersI
Like a raindrop following from the sky fallingJ
-
There's a time to mornK
Remembering the times of our livesL
God knew what was bestM
In times like theseN
Like times like these we need a SaviorO
-
Remembering youP
I took a breathC
And you've gone awayQ
Sailed away to the sea so distantR
-
Remembering youP
I took a breathC
And now you're goneS

Poet's note: Martha and Mandy I dedicated this poem to them. I loved them both and I think of them on; I was very close to the family so, this is my way of saying goodbye to them. Love u Martha and Mandy always....
