I saw a tiny God	A
Sitting	B
Under a bright blue umbrella	C
That had white tassels	D
And forked ribs of gold	E
Below him His little world	F
Lay open to the sun	G
The shadow of His hat	H
Lay upon a city	I
When he stretched forth His hand	J
A lake became a dark tremble	K
When he kicked up His foot	L
It became night in the mountain passes	D

But thou art small	M
There are gods far greater than thou	N
They rise and fall	M
The tumbling gods of the sea	I
Can thy heart heave such sighs	D
Such hollow savage cries	D
Such windy breath	O
Such groaning death	O
And can thy arm enfold	E
The old	E
The cold	E
The changeless dreadful places	D
Where the herds	D
Of horned sea monsters	D
And the screaming birds	D
Gather together	P
From those silent men	Q
That lie in the pen	Q
Of our pearly prisons	D
Canst thou hunt thy prey	R
Like us canst thou stay	R
Awaiting thine hour	P
And then rise like a tower	P
And crash and shatter	P

There are neither trees nor bushes	D
In my country	I
Said the tiny God	A
But there are streams	D
And waterfalls	D
And mountain peaks	D
Covered with lovely weed	S
There are little shores and safe harbours	D
Caves for cool and plains for sun and wind	T
Lovely is the sound of the rivers	D
Lovely the flashing brightness	D
Of the lovely peaks	D
I am content	U

But Thy kingdom is small	M
Said the God of the Sea	D
Thy kingdom shall fall	M
I shall not let thee be	D
Thou art proud	V
With a loud	V
Pealing of laughter	P
He rose and covered	W
The tiny God's land	J
With the tip of his hand	J
With the curl of his fingers	D
And after	P
