The Storm Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGAHCICJKBLMCMN OPBM

I Ran to the forest for shelterA
Breathless half sobbingB
I put my arms round a treeC
Pillowed my head against the rough barkD
Protect me I said I am a lost childE
But the tree showered silver drops on my face and hairF
A wind sprang up from the ends of the earthG
It lashed the forest togetherA
A huge green wave thundered and burst over my headH
I prayed implored Please take care of meC
But the wind pulled at my cloak and the rain beat uponI
meC
Little rivers tore up the ground and swamped the bushesJ
A frenzy possessed the earth I felt that the earth wasK
drowningB
In a bubbling cavern of space I aloneL
Smaller than the smallest fly was alive and terrifiedM
Then for what reason I know not I became triumC
phantM
Well kill me I cried and ran out into the openN
But the storm ceased the sun spread his wingsO
And floated serene in the silver pool of the skyP
I put my hands over my face I was blushingB
And the trees swung together and delicately laughedM
