The Opal Dream Cave Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEDDFGHIJF

In an opal dream cave I found a fairyA
Her wings were frailer than flower petalsB
Frailer far than snowflakesC
She was not frightened but poised on my fingerD
Then delicately walked into my handE
I shut the two palms of my hands togetherD
And held her prisonerD
I carried her out of the opal caveF
Then opened my handsG
First she became thistledownH
Then a mote in a sunbeamI
Then nothing at allJ
Empty now is my opal dream caveF
