The Man With The Wooden Leg Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIGJKLDM

There was a man lived quite near usA
He had a wooden leg and a goldfinch in a green cageB
His name was Farkey AndersonC
And he'd been in a war to get his legD
We were very sad about himE
Because he had such a beautiful smileF
And was such a big man to live in a very small houseG
When he walked on the road his leg did not matterH
so muchI
But when he walked in his little houseG
It made an ugly noiseJ
Little Brother said his goldfinch sang the loudest ofK
all birdsL
So that he should not hear his poor legD
And feel too sorry about itM
