Secret Flowers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCADEEEEDFGGHHF

Is love a light for me A steady lightA
A lamp within whose pallid pool I dreamB
Over old love books Or is it a gleamB
A lantern coming towards me from afarC
Down a dark mountain Is my love a starC
Ah me so high above so coldly brightA
The fire dances Is my love a fireD
Leaping down the twilight muddy and boldE
Nay I'd be frightened of him I'm too coldE
For quick and eager loving There's a goldE
Sheen on these flower petals as they foldE
More truly mine more like to my desireD
The flower petals fold They are by the sunF
Forgotten In a shadowy wood they growG
Where the dark trees keep up a to and froG
Shadowy waving Who will watch them shineH
When I have dreamed my dream Ah darling mineH
Find them gather them for me one by oneF
