Jangling Memory Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHE IJK LGMN

Heavens above here's an old tie of yourA
Sea green dragons stamped on a golden groundB
Ha Ha Ha What children we were in those daysC
-
Do you love me enough to wear it nowD
Have you the courage of your pristine gloriesE
Ha Ha Ha You laugh and shrug your shouldersF
-
Those were the days when a new tie spelt a fortuneG
We wore it in turn I flaunted it as a waist beltH
Ha Ha Ha What easily satisfied babiesE
-
I think I'll turn into a piano dusterI
Give it to me I'll polish my slippers on itJ
Ha Ha Ha The rag's not worth the dustbinK
-
Throw the shabby old thing right out of the windowL
Fling it into the faces of other childrenG
Ha Ha Ha We laughed and laughed till the tearsM
cameN
