Autumn Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GHIIDD

Now's the time when children's nosesA
All become as red as rosesA
And the colour of their facesB
Makes me think of orchard placesB
Where the juicy apples growC
And tomatoes in a rowC
-
And to day the hardened sinnerD
Never could be late for dinnerD
But will jump up to the tableE
Just as soon as he is ableE
Ask for three times hot roast muttonF
Oh the shocking little gluttonF
-
Come then find your ball and racketG
Pop into your winter jacketH
With the lovely bear skin liningI
While the sun is brightly shiningI
Let us run and play togetherD
And just love the autumn weatherD
