To One In Grief Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFG HIHIJJ KLMLNN

SIMON the Cyrenean boreA
The Cross of Christ up Calvary HillB
Blessed be Simon's lot beforeA
Honour and ease and world's good willB
You you would choose his lot aboveC
All gifts and glories yea all loveC
-
-
Now when for your two glorious menD
Your heart is broken and your joyE
On earth shall not be built againD
Oh what a lover what a boyE
Dear heart look up Who helps you onF
The way that you must walk aloneG
-
-
For when the Cross that you must bearH
Galls your poor shoulders till they bleedI
And when the thorns are on your hairH
And Love lies bleeding then indeedI
One will come stepping light and takeJ
The tears the burden the heart breakJ
-
-
Happy is she who to Thine earsK
Pours all her lamentations YeaL
When Thou dost wipe away her tearsM
And healing words of comfort sayL
Thou makest Thy Cross both sweet and lightN
For souls like hers that walk in whiteN
