The Trust Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCB AADDA EEFFE GGHIG

To you O S r Ther se of LisieuxA
Fresh as a morning rose in morning dewB
We give our men in keepingC
Watch them waking watch them sleepingC
Lest our hearts should break O keep trust and be trueB
-
The old saints are beset with many prayersA
The knees of centuries have worn their stairsA
But you O little nunD
Heaven's youngest littlest oneD
You are strong to lift our burdens and our caresA
-
Your childish hands have roses pink and paleE
That climb the trellises of Heaven and trailE
Shake your roses down before themF
Your dear heart be sorry for themF
Keep them safe within the shadow of your veilE
-
You lift hands for France O lift them heaven highG
For those who fight with France who bleed and dieG
Pluck the robe of Heaven O DearH
So the Heart of Heaven may hearI
That never yet was hardened to your cryG
