The Image Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ AKAK

When a wild grace I seeA
A turn o' the neck a curl sweet hands clear eyesB
Gentleness courtesy dignityA
In all these gifts Thee I surmise surpriseB
-
All beauty and delightC
Skin like a rose a beauteous shape an airD
Free and enchanting give my weary sightC
Glimpses of Thee Thou Beauty past compareD
-
Strength courage also are ThineE
And joy of youth and wings that cleave the blueF
Low singing and soft voices I divineE
In these Thy beauty ancient yet ever newF
-
Oh when my startled eyeG
Perceives this beauty league long sea and isleH
And eagle crested mountains wild and highG
I catch Thy Maker's thought I see Thy smileH
-
Some mirror out of rangeI
Flashes reflex of Heaven on this sweet earthJ
Brooding for ever beautiful without changeI
The blue bell sea the thousand streams' soft mirthJ
-
All beauty is of TheeA
Kindness and quietness moon and stars and sunK
Gardens and woods the bird in the new fledged treeA
And sleep O Kindest OneK
