Resurrection Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFG HIJI KDKD DLDL MNMN COEO

Now the golden daffodilA
Lifts from earth his shining headB
That was lately frozen stillA
In the gardens of the deadB
-
-
Sing to the Lord a new songC
Roundelays and virelaysD
Who hath slain Death and is youngE
Master of your holidaysD
-
-
Now from places undergroundF
Gold and purple folk will goG
Haled by the shrill trumpet soundF
From their wormy beds belowG
-
-
Now the stone is from the tombH
Now 'tis Easter and the mornI
Christ the Lord of Life is comeJ
Hath slain Death and Life is bornI
-
-
Christ the Lord of Life new risenK
Calls the sleepers that they riseD
From the unnumbered graves break prisonK
Follow Him to ParadiseD
-
-
Who be then these shining onesD
Dancing with a heavenly mirthL
The King's daughters the King's sonsD
Fairer than the folk of earthL
-
-
Graves are busier than a hiveM
The wind blows the sun is warmN
Now the dead are come aliveM
Loosed is many a golden swarmN
-
-
Sing to the Lord a new songC
The Sun's risen in our EastO
Christ the Lord of Life is youngE
And the young sit to the feastO
