Noel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BBBA AAAC DDDA

I sang a song upon Christmas dayA
And the feet of many going one wayA
The word the golden voice did sayA
Gloria in ExcelsisA
-
The air was filled with snowflakes whiteB
And the singing stars danced in their flightB
Sweet the song they sang in the nightB
Et in terra paxA
-
Good singing folk where is there peaceA
And for the broken heart heartseaseA
They chant Come hither upon your kneesA
Venite ad BethlehemC
-
For now the Prince of Peace is bornD
For the full heart and the heart forlornD
He signs His Peace upon Christmas MornD
Adeste FidelisA
