Mediation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCD EFEGHH IJIJKL MNMOPQ

If Thou Lord God willest to judgeA
This Thy very piteous clayB
Which to save Christ did not grudgeA
His last dying I shall sayB
Lord I interpose Christ's deathC
'Twixt these children and Thy wrathD
-
-
Then if Thou shouldst say Their shameE
Is as scarlet in Mine eyesF
I shall ask Who took their blameE
Look Lord on this SacrificeG
Is Thy Son's blood not more brightH
Which hath washed their scarlet whiteH
-
-
Then if Thou Thy wrath should'st keepI
And Thy gaze should'st still avertJ
From Thy Son's most piteous sheepI
I shall ask Who bare the hurtJ
I Present Christ's death and PainK
'Twixt Thine anger and these menL
-
-
Lord they die by millionsM
And they look to Thee take thoughtN
This dear flock that is Thy Son'sM
By the richest ransom boughtO
See Thy dead Son lies betweenP
Thee the High judge and their sinQ
