Farewell Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDEE FGBB HHBB

Not soon shall I forget a sheetA
Of golden water cold and sweetA
The young moon with her head in veilsB
Of silver and the nightingalesB
-
A wain of hay came up the laneC
O fields I shall not walk againD
And trees I shall not see so stillE
Against a sky of daffodilE
-
Fields where my happy heart had restF
And where my heart was heaviestG
I shall remember them at peaceB
Drenched in moon silver like a fleeceB
-
The golden water sweet and coldH
The moon of silver and of goldH
The dew upon the gray grass spearsB
I shall remember them with tearsB
