The Submarine That Sank The Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA B ACACADADEFEFGHGHICIC

SPINDRIFT white shall her victims standA
On the ivory quay untrodA
By living feet when she nears GhoststrandA
To point her out to GodA
-
The Babies Of The 'Lusitania'B
-
THOSE rosy dimpled darlings castA
So roughly to the seaC
Wondering their bathtub was so vastA
Reaching for breast and kneeC
Too innocent to understandA
What hate and murder areD
But puzzled that the dandling handA
Had let them drop so farD
Swallowing like milk the bitter foamE
Dismayed to miss their breathF
Our little guests from Heaven went homeE
In the great arms of DeathF
O Land of Toys and Christmas TreesG
Dear Land of Fairy TalesH
How will your heart be panged for theseG
When war's red frenzy palesH
God pity Germany in allI
The grieving years to beC
When through her cradle songs shall callI
Drowned babies from the seaC
