The Presence Chamber Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBBCCBDEDFDE

SwitzerlandA
BEHOLD a temple builded not by handsB
Columns of mist all shimmering with sunC
Stream heavenward from the deep cut vales that runC
Between the mountains and the vault expandsB
Splendor of turquoise groined with opal bandsB
Cloud tapestries of pearl and amber spunC
Veil in that glorious pavilionC
Mosaic paved with cities lakes and landsB
But far withdrawn in utter light of lightD
Holy of Holies is the God to whomE
Our souls that make their own enshrouding nightD
Lift piteous prayer 'Deliver us from gloom 'F
Yet shrink aftrighted from the answering whiteD
Unbearable Divine that would illumeE
