Starlight At Sea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAACCADEAFEA

OVER the murmurous choral of dim wavesA
The constellations glow against the softB
Ethereal dusk forever fair aloftC
Serene while man climbs painfully from cavesA
To cities clamorous cities life that ravesA
Like surf against the rocks It is not oftC
Our cities glimpse the stars their luster scoffedC
Away by low hard glitter that outbravesA
Night's blessing of the dark But here uponD
Mid ocean all whose muffled voices ringE
A rapture lost to our vexed human willsA
We see the primal radiance that shoneF
On chaos see the young God shepherdingE
His gleaming flocks on the empurpled hillsA
