Soldiers To Pacifists Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCCCBDDDEFFFEGGGH IIIHJJJBKKKB

NOT ours to clamor shame on youA
Nor fling a bitter blame on youA
Nor brand a cruel name on youA
That evil name of treasonB
You who have heard the ivory flutesC
Who float white banners brave recruitsC
Of Peace seeking to pluck her fruitsC
In bud and blossom seasonB
A sterner bugle calls to usD
More direful duty falls to usD
God grants no garden walls to usD
Till the scarred waste be deliveredE
From dragon passions that destroyF
All sanctitudes of faith and joyF
We too are on divine employF
By sword shall sword be shiveredE
Cherish your bud star eyed of bloomG
Dawn flower of hope belied of gloomG
While surges of the tide of doomG
The gathering nations thunderH
Against a red colossal throneI
Cherish it that the seed be sownI
At last even where that monstrous stoneI
Crushes life's roots asunderH
Follow your flutes the fairy wayJ
Wing sandaled climb the airy wayJ
The wonderful unwary wayJ
Too lovely for derisionB
While we your comrades at the goalK
Step to the drum beat and unrollK
The flag of Freedom every soulK
Obedient to its visionB
