Out Of Siberia Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

SHAKERAGS cripples gaunt and dazedA
Prison broken hosts on hostsB
Torture scarred and dungeon crazedA
Down the convict road they pourC
More and more and myriads moreC
Terrible as ghostsB
Shuffling feet that miss the chainD
Shoulders welted faces hoarC
Sightless eyes that stare in vainD
Writhen limbs and idiot tongueE
They are old who were so youngE
When they passed beforeC
Grimy from the mines a stainD
And a horror on the whiteF
Sweep of the Siberian plainD
These grotesque and piteous theseG
Fill the earth with jubileesG
Flood the skies with lightF
While each squalid tatter spinsG
At the sport of wind and snowH
Russia hails her paladinsG
And with cheer or sob proclaimsG
Long unspoken hero namesG
Names they hardly knowH
They unto themselves are vagueI
Even as they tear the breadJ
That their famished fingers begK
They themselves are specters whoL
Melt into their retinueL
Of unnumbered deadJ
From the shackles from the whipsG
Over frozen steppes they streamM
Quavering songs on ghastly lipsG
Haggard holy caravanN
Saviours of the soul of manN
Martyrs of a dreamM
Martyrs of a dream fulfilledO
Givers who have paid the priceG
Homing now to hearths long chilledO
Guests exalted over allP
At glad Freedom's festivalQ
Saints of sacrificeG
