In The Oak Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFCFCGHGHAIAI CJCJ

THE leaves and tassels of the oakA
Were golden green with MayB
Pavilion whence forever brokeA
Some angel roundelayC
A carol like a glory cameD
From topmost twig astirE
Enkindled by a flying flameD
The scarlet tanagerE
The tree was glad as ParadiseF
When eager soul on soulC
The saints flock home There glistened twiceF
A wild throat orioleC
And once the grosbeak's rosy breastG
Poured its enchanted hymnH
While sunny wing and jewel crestG
Lit many a blissful limbH
The whole wide world was in my oakA
Whose catkins danced for mirthI
Plumes gray as curling city smokeA
Plumes brown as fresh plowed earthI
Even heaven had graced our festivalC
For oft the loving eyeJ
Would find coaxed by a wistful callC
The bluebird's fleck of skyJ
