Graves At Christiania Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDDDEFGFGHGHDIDI

WE bore them their own wild heatherA
And ash boughs jeweled redB
There where they sleep togetherA
Greatest of Norway's deadB
More than the hush of churchesC
Is the hush where Ibsen liesD
Columned by poplars and birchesD
Vaulted by glorious skiesD
Over that heart undauntedE
Soars a shaft of labradorF
Black yet beauty hauntedG
Marked with the hammer of ThorF
But what memorial liftedG
To Bj rnson loved of the folkH
We sought till our quest had driftedG
Where tender voices spokeH
Where never a rail enclosesD
That resting place of fameI
A little plot of rosesD
Nameless nor needing nameI
