THE weazen planet Mercury	A
Whose song is done	B
Rash heart that drew too near	C
His dazzling lord the Sun	B
Forgets that life was dear	C
So shriveled now and sere	C
The goblin planet Mercury	A
But Venus thou mysterious Enveil d one	B
Fairest of lights that fleet	D
Around the radiant Sun	B
Do not thy pulses beat	D
To music blithe and sweet	D
O Venus veiled mysterious	E
And Earth our shadow haunted Earth	F
Hast thou too won	B
The graces of a star	G
From the glory of the Sun	B
Do poets dream afar	G
That here all lusters are	G
Upon our blind bewildered Earth	F
We dream that mighty forms on Mars	H
With wisdom spun	B
From subtler brain than man's	I
Are hoarding snow and sun	B
Wringing a few more spans	I
Of life fierce artisans	J
From their deep grooved worn planet Mars	H
But thou colossal Jupiter	K
World just begun	B
Wild globe of golden steam	L
Chief nursling of the Sun	B
Transcendest human dream	L
That faints before the gleam	L
Of thy vast splendor Jupiter	K
And for what rare delight	M
Or woes to shun	B
Of races increate	M
New lovers of the Sun	B
Was Saturn ringed with great	M
Rivers illuminate	M
Ethereal jewel of delight	M
Far from his fellows Uranus	E
Doth lonely run	B
In his appointed ways	N
Around the sovereign Sun	B
Wide journeys that amaze	N
Our weak and toiling gaze	N
Searching the path of Uranus	E
But on the awful verge	O
Of voids that stun	B
The spirit Neptune keeps	P
The frontier of the Sun	B
Over the deeps on deeps	P
He glows a torch that sweeps	P
The circle of that shuddering verge	O
On each bright planet waits	P
Oblivion	B
Who casts beneath her feet	M
Ashes of star and sun	B
But when all ruby heat	M
Is frost a Heart shall beat	M
Where God within the darkness waits	P
