Poet's note: This poem is for my friends and family. it is a request I would like them to do. I don't want them to be sad and soggy instead gladly bid farewell to me. The feeling expressed in this poem is a sadness that turns to hopefulness, gladness, and celebratory. this poem means there is the hope of relief after death.

MayraVazquez: I really like this poem. my mom passed away and she didn't want no one wearing black at her funeral . She didn't want no one mourning and no tears. She asked everyone to wear white..
