African Poem.
Write the poem with a purple crayon
Remembering that one lives longer with so little frowns.
Write the poem and praise the monarch if you want to live
Praise the monarch thus;
Long live the crown on your head!
Lose your conscience
If you have a conscience,you daren't write an African poem
They tell you You can be who you want to be
If you want to be.
You daren't write an African poem with your conscience
But with praise
Pride in injustice
And the hope that one day she will be sick.
You have your right the day you loose your conscience
You lose your conscience trying to cry for those without voice.
That is African poetry.
Tell me,Abokina*
Do you want to write an African poem?
