Mischief Germs: Covid-19 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DEFF GHIICC JJCCKK

Everyone was busy running aroundA
Spreading their germs into the air and on the groundA
The tiny germs grew bigger and strongerB
Even their claws grew a little bit longerB
They called out to their friends to come and playC
Before we knew it they all wanted to stayC
-
They were having so much fun crawling up everyone's handsD
Tickling their throats and making other mischief plansE
They crawled up their nose and bounced out with a sneezeF
Merrily they floated into the early morning breezeF
-
The mischief germs took over making everyone sickG
Until everyone coughed and wheezed and became very very weakH
The world was shouting please stay at homeI
So these mischief germs will have no place to roamI
It's there we learned and played all dayC
Causing mum to go a little greyC
-
We washed our hands and wore our maskJ
Obeying the rules although it was a difficult taskJ
Slowly the mischief germs began to fade awayC
They grew smaller and smaller and had no place to stayC
They disappeared into the clean fresh airK
Reminding us to always take careK
