Oh happy Christmas full of blessings come | B |
Now bid our discords cease | C |
Here give the weary ease | D |
Let the long parted meet again in peace | C |
Bring back the far away | E |
Grant us a holiday | E |
And by the hopes of Christmas tide we pray | E |
Let love restore the fallen to his Home | F |
Whilst up and down the snowy streets the Christmas minstrels sing | G |
And through the frost from countless towers the bells of | H |
Christmas ring | G |
- | |
Ah Christ and yet a happier day shall come | B |
Then bid our discords cease | C |
There give the weary ease | D |
Let the long parted meet again in peace | C |
Bring back the far away | E |
Grant us a holiday | E |
And by the hopes of Christmas tide we pray | E |
Let love restore the fallen to his Home | F |
Whilst up and down the golden streets the blessed angels sing | G |
And evermore the heavenly chimes in heavenly cadence ring | G |
