At The Moment Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHI JKL MM

Suddenly I stopped thinking about LoveA
after so many years of only thatB
after thinking that nothing else matteredC
-
And what was I thinking of when I stoppedD
thinking about Love Death of course what elseE
could take Love's place What else could hold such forceF
-
I thought about how far away Death onceG
had seemed how unexpected that it couldH
happen to someone I knew quite wellI
-
how impossible that this should be theJ
normal thing as natural as frost andK
winter I thought about the way we'd agedL
-
how skin fell into wrinkles how eyes grewM
dim then of course my love I thought of youM
