the noisy earth is silentA
With darkness overshadowed our shining sunB

the cities have locked their gatesC
With the ground swallowing the keysD
-
the streets are painted redE
refusing the movement of its citizensF
-
We take to the bushes as our landlordsG
Being trap like animalsH
-
As prey to be devourI
By our pursuersJ
-
We lament our dear onesF
With sorrowful melodiesD
-
While running to other land for survivalK
We died one after anotherI
-
We have become strangers and refugeesD
In an unknown landL
-
Losing everythingM
We have labored forN
-
Oh what a tragic sceneO
I have witnessedP

Poet's note: This poem is a story about the 2003 war that was fought in my country,leaving many lifeless and some homeless with critical wounds.I want to express the feelings of sorrows,and torments. To me this poem is a picture of how war is, follow by its merciless hands.
