The Theft Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL

PERFIDIOUS damsel with thy dazzling eyesA
Those skill'd enchanters of a sunnier climeB
Thou thou hast charmed the dragon Reason couchedC
Before my soul's Hesperides and filchedD
Her fruit of burnished ore the source itselfE
From which her splendour sprung her will and leftF
Yea naked left her to the winds of woeG
And now while she laments her jewels lostH
With scorn dost hie to mock to drive afarI
The veriest promise of a summer wouldJ
Again enable her to smile and withK
Her golden apples set the world agapeL
