THE fickle Moon has left the skiesA
But Night's blue veil with stars is sprinkledB
And every little twinkler triesA
To twinkle as he'd never twinkledB

O now's the hour for Love to pourC
And Beauty hear his vows supernalD
No Moon will glint of change to hintE
And stars but hint of things eternalD
