The Crushed Aspire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC ADAE FGFG HAHA EIEI

O MY Spirit art thou vanquishtA
Is thy latest prospect goneB
Must my task be thus relinquishtA
Ere my noble end is wonC
-
Must I die and be remember'dA
Never more ah never moreD
As the clown who laught and slumber'dA
Out his passing mortal hourE
-
Has my life been one untiringF
Vigil kept at sorrow's shrineG
One unceasing toil acquiringF
What unsought for had been mineG
-
Have I undergone privationsH
That the noblest soul had bow'dA
Stoop to unearn'd degradationsH
But to die as die the crowdA
-
Whither wilt thou wander whitherE
From thy quest my soul refrainI
Sure the God who sent me hitherE
Had sonic purpose in my painI
