The Critics Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE

I LIKE the darling critics likeA
O how upon their work I lingerB
When they their weapons use to strikeA
Not me but some less happy singerB
-
The treasure of their venom bagsC
So finely on the bard's expendedD
One half forgets the little wagsC
Were from a scorpion race descendedE
