ELF Rumour Ay the airy fayA
That treads the air unseen by anyB
From town to town her bugle's blownC
And merry are her pranks and manyB

Her news our ears now charm our fearsD
Now stir as with a clap of thunderE
And while we cry out What she'll flyF
With Laughter at her heels and WonderE
