My Nostalgic Christmas Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBABACDDEEFGHH

I heard an old old Christmas songA
sung by grandma on Christmas eveB
It wasn't in good stanzas longA
but it did the joyous times retrieveB
It gladdened my heart which did grieveB
over all I thought I'd done wrongA
and could not annually achieveB
It did convey emotions strongA
of joyous moments to reliveC
Modest gifts traditional mealsD
and the sweet scent of warmth that healsD
Contented in want we all sharedE
whilst our affections showed we caredE
All on our humble home convergedF
in living rooms hardly enlargedG
To drink and eat cheap wine and foodH
in unrivaled ecstasy and moodH
