From Napoleon To Josephine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD AEC CFB GFCH

Oh precious Creole from a Caribbean HavenA
She that inhabits the vacuum of my heartB
Your kiss can quell a heart laden with furyC
to save regiments from a scene of carnageD
-
A man's long life span of Five score and SevenA
is nothing more than a fruitless lengthy ageE
in comparison with few seconds with theeC
-
Nothing else can inflict as much injuryC
as a minute second of your departureF
from a heart you have so pierced with Cupid's DartB
-
Yes my love you are dexterously fashionedG
by Divine hands distinct from every creatureF
Nothing at all in this whole World gladdens meC
like my love you have so graciously returnedH
