Bonaparte Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEFDEFD

He that trod upon subservient EuropeA
with the imperial guards' fighting prowessB
did himself and his heartthrob the empressC
entrench thrones jointly owned by their hookupA
He that caused guns to rage on Europe's plainsD
and cannons to thunder on Egypt's sandsE
sent hussars and mamluks to distant flightF
He usurped crowns for his dear siblings' gainsD
and enthroned loyalists to head vanquished landsE
But was banished for good from France's sightF
after a stunning loss on Belgium's plainsD
