A Kid's Rhyme For Advent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABAACCAAAAD

Joyous angels an entire night spentA
singing with flutes they ceased to relentA
Shepherds lowly pitch their dusty tentA
A story indeed reminiscentB
of ageless advents when we all wentA
to sing in churches in wintry KentA
In fright we gazed at Santa's beard lengthC
in a speed sleigh drawn by the Elks' strengthC
We sought more fun for an extra centA
But after pleasure we did repentA
speaking solemn words of a good gentA
'Oh what a pleasant time in adventA
to usher in the infant God sent 'D
