Rhyme Scheme: AAAABCCCB DDDEEEE| Behold the Christ child is born this day | A |
| just as the prophets of old did say | A |
| In a manger on the cozy hay | A |
| did his infant Lordship choose to stay | A |
| No cradle by a thousand kings paid | B |
| for would befit his divine highness | C |
| whose crown is celestial and priceless | C |
| glowing with gems of regal brightness | C |
| Yet in a manger so low he laid | B |

| Behold the Christ child God's timeless gift | D |
| who will from sin's merciless bondage lift | D |
| men to heights from where they went adrift | D |
| from God's intended realm in Eden | E |
| His birth in yuletide our lives sweeten | E |
| with lit golden marbles to lighten | E |
| dark alleys which were once stress ridden | E |
