And loathsome to the sight | I |
When 'tis too late to gather more | H |
And comes the festal night | I |

As toy may please a growing boy | J |

But soon he tires and asks for more | H |
Appropriate to his age | L |
So though a man may higher soar | H |
And greater aims engage | L |

But he who goes to Christ for rest | O |
