Displeasing Lord to Thee | B |
Thy will is good and with wisdom fraught | A |
And that suffices me | B |
I cannot alter a plan of Thine | C |
And would not if I could | D |
I acquiesce in the will divine | C |
And find my highest good | D |

At times my vessel drifts near the shore | E |
And the beacon lights expire | F |
The surf capped waves swell more and more | E |
And threaten with ruin dire | F |
But only the surface sea is rough | G |
The ocean's depths are calm | H |
And a star affords me light enough | G |
The Star of Bethlehem | I |

And by its light I discern the sand | J |
And rocks along the coast | K |
And turn away toward a fairer land | J |
And standing at my post | K |
I guide my bark thro' the tempest wild | L |
Borne on by wind and tide | M |
Till God receives His weak erring child | L |
And shelters near His side | M |

Lo I come O Lord to do Thy will | N |
Shines from my star divine | C |
And my heart cries out In me fulfill | N |
Also Thy wise design | C |
I would not alter a plan of thine | C |
If I the power possessed | O |
My will is lost in the will divine | C |
