Mary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGHIHI

She brought her alabaster flaskA
Well filled with precious nardB
Nor did she deem the act a taskA
Nor look for great rewardC
She only thought of His great loveD
And felt her gift was smallE
For Him who left His home aboveD
To suffer death for allE
But her blest Lord more highly prizedF
The loving heart that gaveG
For loveless gifts are e'er despisedF
Yet men oft seek to paveG
The way that leads to glory landH
With deeds devoid of graceI
But only those who love can standH
Approved before His faceI
