Joy In The Morning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

The night of affliction with its long hours of sadnessA
Will soon pass away to be remembered no moreB
And the weeping will end in a morning of gladnessA
For no sorrow is known on the evergreen shoreB
-
In this world we shall have tribulation and sorrowC
'Tis enough for the subject to be as his kingD
But if we are faithful joy will come with the morrowC
And with the blood washed a new song shall we singD
