The man of law the herald of the cross | E |
The painter skilled he of the healing art | F |

But brave as these are those of noble birth | G |
Genteel in manner but with athlete frames | H |
They do full honor to their ancient names | H |
And prove by deeds their worth | G |

Palatial homes have they and wealth untold | I |
Nor need to labor and no cause for fret | J |
But deeds of noble sires they ne'er forget | J |
Deem honor more than gold | I |

Brave lads are these on whom we may rely | K |
They go uncalled content the gaps to fill | L |
And in their places fall if God so will | L |
For they fear not to die | K |

The whole Empire is loyal to the core | C |
From far off East brave Indians seek the fray | D |
And on French soil have clearly shown that they | D |
Were true to flag they bore | C |

Their old time leader greets his men once more | C |
Bestows his parting blessing ere his death | M |
And praised their valor with his final breath | M |
Then crossed to other shore | C |

Our own brave youth by thousands answer call | N |
And in our common cause enroll their names | H |
With cultured minds and well developed frames | H |
They stand like granite wall | N |

For truth and brotherhood all face the foe | O |
Themselves they cannot save but others may | D |
But live or die they hope to win the day | D |
To sacrifice they go | O |
