The Spirit Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGHH

I would not breathe when blows thy mighty windA
O'er desolate hill and winter blasted plainB
But stand in waiting hope if I may findA
Each flower recalled to newer life againC
That now unsightly hides itself from TheeD
Amid the leaves or rustling grasses dryE
With ice cased rock and snowy mantled treeD
Ashamed lest Thou its nakedness should spyE
But Thou shall breathe and every rattling boughF
Shall gather leaves each rock with rivers flowG
And they that hide them from thy presence nowF
In new found robes along thy path shall glowG
And meadows at thy coming fall and riseH
Their green waves sprinkled with a thousand eyesH
